What is the best way to clean the fiberglass top on Broncos? My Bronco is shiny black and silver, but the top is sort of a flat black. It doesn't really take to wax. I'm not a fanatic but I cleaned my truck today and had a hard time trying to get the top to look good. I armor alled it but that made it look worse.
Yeah, I'm afraid you are right. I'm going to take it to the paint shop and see how much they would charge just to paint the top. The Florida sun is murder on painted fiberglass, like on boats too. In the meantime though, tonight I rubbed some Meguiar's tire gel into the top, it seemed to make it look a lot better, gave it some moisture, but it probably won't last too long.
The Meguiar's tire stuff that I rubbed into the top seems to work well to make it look better. It is not the spray, but the gel stuff. It comes in a clear plastic bottle. My top looks much better, I'm sure I'll have to do this now and then but what the heck. If it rains right after you put it on you'll have to clean some streaks off your glass and quarter panel, but that was only after the first rain, and the top is still looking good. PS - my top is black, don't know how it will work on other colors.
