lift kit input
I'm looking to lift my truck 6". I know the big name companys are all probably good quality, but is there any thing I need to or should know befor I purchase a kit? Is there any extra maintenance involved. I dont want a show kit, but one that will actually help my truck perform better off road. What are some things I should look for in the kit? Anything that I should look for that I should stay away from? Any good articles on the internet I should read? Thanks.-JZ

All I can help with is to tell you I have a 6" Procomp lift on my truck and have been very happy with it, There are several others that are good kits like Rize has a great kit (8") as well as others.

Fabtech is great. You might want to find one that has a skid plate with it. Also you probably want a coilover system for the front shocks. And get shock boots, even if they say the shocks don't need them. Especially if you do go offroad.

When I upgrade my little 3" skyjacker lift, I am going to go with the Fabtech. The only other thing you may want to look into is, does the lift you choose have a front stabilizer. If so, I would purchase it. My choices would be as follows:
1. Fabtech
2. Pro-comp
3. Skyjacker
