Tranny shifts hard with code
Hey, I have a 99 F-350 SD Crew Cab Dually with a V-10 and Auto tranny. The other day out of no where it started shifting hard ( like it wanted to rip the rearend out from under it). Check fluid level and it was good. Color was fine and it doesn't smell burnt. Then I got a service engine light. Put my code reader on it and got P0102 (Mass or Volume Circuit Low Input). Cleared the code and drove the truck and it came back on. Has anyone had this before or know what it could be. I'm guessing that the code has something to do with the tranny. Thanks for the help now and in the past.

Thanks for the input. A couple of weeks ago I had a surging problem with the motor and found the mass air flow sensor bad and a bad rubber elbow for the PCV. Replaced both and fixed the problem. Could this be related? And how does the MAF sensor affect how the tranny shifts?
