I just changed my fuel filter and when I screwed down the lid/cap snug, I noticed something I never noticed before, there is a small gap between the lid/cap and the housing. Is that normal?
If you are seeing a gap, don't start it. It will blow diesel all over your engine compartment. Or pump it all over the ground when you turn the key waiting for the WTS light to go out. If there is a gap, remove the cap, make sure you removed the old black rubber ring and make sure the new filter is seated all the way down into the housing.
not to highjack this thread or anything but does anyone make a billit lid for the filter houseing . I just had issues with mine cracking and blowing out the o ring, had to replace it with another plastic one for now.
