Inner Fender panels

Are the Inner Fender panels the same size for the 1/2 ton pickup the same size as the panels used in the 1-1/2 and larger trucks? I understand the front fenders for the larger trucks will fit the 1/2 tons but with larger wheel openings. Im looking for a passenger side panel with the finder brace that bolts to the front between the radiator mount and panel and I want to be sure that if I find one from a larger truck will fit my 1/2 ton.

Yes, all conventional (not COE) '42-'47 trucks used the same inner fender panels.

Thanks Gary, then I won't worry about purchasing a panel from a larger truck, they may be easier to find.

Gary, back a few months ago if you recall we talked about the Orange Color Paint on you truck. I did a little research when I was out West last month and I believe your truck was a Fleet Truck either with the Wyoming or Montana Road Works Dept.
A friend of mine in western nebraska has a later model one same Orange and thats where his came from, as well as a couple of others I came across, in earlier years.
Just thought I would lay that bit of info onto you. your paint code may not be that hard to find after all.

Interesting. It does make sense since the truck came to Southern California (Hollywood) in 1979 from Montana. I found a Montana truck (appropriatly, Flathead County) license plate in the cab with a registration sticker of 1979. I figured it was part of a fleet, and since it was orange I also figured Highway Dept or something. If you have any more info on the Montana trucks I would love to hear more. I have been meaning to contact the previous owners to see what info they might be able to provide on this truck.
