Am I just too old and feeble or am I not seeing what I look at?
When I look at the various magazine's for "toys" it seems to me that most of the pieces offered are listed for '80 - '95 full-size Bronco's. I have a '96 and I'm beginning to feel like us '96'ers are suffering from discrimination. I will have to admit, after writing to Performance Products magazine about this, they returned my post quickly stating that they did offer the product (Gibson exhaust for a 5.8) for my Bronco.
Do I just assume that the vendors really mean to include the '96 Bronco's?

Kind of tedious, but you'll find goodies ranging from:
PSM-86-2823 Cat Back System ``TFX`` Bronco 4WD 87-96 302/351W Side-Exit $188.99
to:
PWT-1822 Ford/Mazda: 1987-96 Bronco, 1987-98 F150 pickup, 1990-98 Explorer/Navajo with Ford 8.8 in., 31 spline axle sha... $299.95
This Powertrax Lock-Right and Performance Locker unit works like an open differential under normal driving conditions, but when there's a variance in traction, such as one wheel slipping, it automatically routes power to the wheel with the most traction. This locker also reduces the excessive noise, tire wear, and drivetrain damage associated with other lockers. Made in the U.S.A., Powertrax lockers replace the spider gears in your differential carrier without affecting your ring and pinion settings. The whole job can be done in your driveway with common hand tools in a couple of hours. Carrier not included.
We have a 96, 5.0 Bronco and I believe the OBD-II causes problems in finding many goodies for performance/mods.
Here is our Bronco:
Thanks for steering me in the right direction. I've seen this picture while browsing previously - very nice vehicle. I had an early (round headlights) '78 Bronco and THOUGHT I needed to sell it. Oh man, I was shedding tears as the new owner was turning onto the street in front of my house . He couldn't see me because of the #####-eating grin he had plastered on his face! I finally found the '96 EB, 5.8, 4WD, HD cooling and rear swaybar that had been bought new down in Orlando. Really nice truck and there is NO WAY that I'll be getting rid of this one - even if FoMoCo comes up with a new Bronco with a diesel. But, I'll have to try to get one of those 0o.
we do have a lot in common Richard!..we sold our 78 Bronco last Dec...the buyer said it was a good deal for both sides; hated to let it go, but I didn't have much time to finish restoring it (it ran every day).
be well dude!
wow...what's up with the 78 broncos???i bought mine in december, and the guy i got it from kept calling and driving by my house late at night...he wanted me to sell it back....it has 6" susp.lift, 3" body lift, 39" M/Ts, 4.56 gears, ladder bars, and a 429 with all the trimmings....
yo rwjr..it wasn't me!..I swear!..lol...(hope you're not from pennsy..)..not me..honest!..lol.
i know the 78/79's are being more pop now; simple to work on w/out the cats, air pumps, and sensors and the parts seem to be available at lesser costs now. besides the front axle set up, and many other features..I WANT MY 78 BACK!.
Hey Richard !!! Where in Orlando r u. I live outside of Apopka and If your lookin for somebody to wheel with give me a shout. I also have tons of parts and complete trucks... "85", "87" and an "89" plus 3 early Bronco's
Sorry the message wasn't clear enough... I'm up in Tallahassee, the Bronco was purchased new in Orlando and was purchased by the local Ford dealer at the big auto auction, brought up to Tallahassee and I was fortunate enough to get it.
