There is a post on here somewhere, where a guy was running 400 hp. He was on his third transfer case, transmission, etc. The general consensus in the 4wd crowd is that high horsepower = high dollars on drivetrain parts. However, most of these parts were probably broken with torque at low speeds, off road. The way a supercharger delivers power, you will see most of your power after takeoff, not as bad as a turbocharger which really comes on at high rpms, but not at the very low speeds of off roading. So it may not be as much of a risk as having a high horsepower/torque unblown motor. I've never had a blower on a 4wd, anybody have any real world experience with this, or even opinions (you know what opinions are like!)
This definatly does not sound good... I already snap real drive axle U-joints all the time.. and I broke the flange once too... I'm goign to put a performace drive axle in there very soon... but I am indeed worried about the tranny and transfer case.. although I have heard that the Ford 9" rear is indestructable... how true is that?
Anyone have any experiance with bronco, with a surecharger? I am indeed looking at the Powerdyne as an option.. so lets here it! anyone got one?
