Quick question, Where is the "chip" located"?

Quick question, Where is the "chip" located"?
Prev Owner told me the truck has a chip in it. Dumb question..... Where do I look to find this chip, and will the brand be printed on the top?

Look in the driver side kick panel behind the emergency brake pedal. There is a black box. remove the 2 bolts that hold it in place.You will have to go under the hood and remove the 10mm bolt in the plug of wires under the mastercilinder. remove the black box under the dash and it's out.

Lesson I learned trying to pull the PCM because nothing I did would budge it - the part thats nearest you when you're in the truck, move it to the right - sideways. Then it pops right out. I was trying to pull straight out (of course, you cant see squat down there).
