A 275/70R18 A/T is the correct spare tire for trucks ordered with 20" wheels. That has been the standard spare tire size for trucks with 20" wheels since '05.
I just bought a 208 F-350 6.4l with the 20" Alloy Rims 275/65/20 tires.
The spare tire looks to be a 275/70/18.
Did they give me the correct spare tire? If so will a 275/65/20 fit in the spare wheel holder?Thanks...
The 20-inch wheel will not fit with receiver hitch installed, this is the reason FMC puts an 18-inch spare on a truck with 20-inch wheels.
I am not sure if it would fit or not. But what Good is a Deflated spare??? If the spare is deflated then you may as well run without a spare.
The thought of driving 300-400 miles from the desert with a mismatched tire bothers me when the correct size tire is so close to fitting. Ford should of increased the spare wheel well size. I have a few quads so I always carry a 12 volt pump. It only takes 3 minutes to fill the spare so it's not really a big deal.

Problem with space for a 20-inch tire is the frame rails and a reciever hitch. It would be alot of modifying for one tire size. Your 12volt pump will work if there is enough air in the spare to keep the bead seated. If you lose the seal at the bead it will take high pressure to reseat the bead of the tire on the rim, and your 12volt pump will not be able to reseat the bead.
I had a guy at work that fit a 35X12.50R18 in the stock location with the factory hitch on his '06. There is also a guy on another forum that has a 315/75R16 in the stock location on his '04, it too has a factory hitch. These are the two largest tire sizes I have seen/heard of fitting in the factory spare carrier with the factory hitch and no modifications. So it is not entirely out of the question being the factory 20" tire is slightly smaller than the two above. Although I would test fit one of the wheels off your new truck in the spare carrier before making any purchases/decisions.

OK Guys, I've always wondered....Any problem with driving with the different sized spare? I've got 35x13.50x20's...brian
As a temporary tire and try and stay out of 4x4 it should not be a problem. All the automobiles do fine with their space saver spares and they are not the same size.
