Pull the panel located under the steering wheel. There may be a sticker on the panel that will give you the day/month/year. Those '99 models you got to double check the date for sure.
Thanks Heavyassault I did not see asticker there. The doors have a small stamp that says 03/02/99, but that is probably when the door was made not the truck build.
Somebody asked me a while back for the phone number to call and have Ford send a build sheet for your truck...and I just found my note. Sorry for the delay.
Here's the story, when I bought my F250 several weeks ago a buddy of mine mentioned that you can call Ford and they will MAIL you a build sheet showing the original build of your truck. So I called, they asked for the VIN and she said it would be researched and mailed to me....and about a week later it showed up!
They will not give you any info over the phone because they forward the request to a resarcher who actually looks up the build.
So, here's the number (boy are they gonna hate me in the research dept LOL)

The letter starts with the build date and location and then goes on to list all of the options put on the truck.
Really nice to have for those of us who buy second hand units.
