I need some advisement. I have a 65 f100 4x2 and I am considering purchasing a 76 f150 4x4 and doing a sheet metal swap. The 76 has a 4" lift ans 33" tires. Both are short beds. What kind of problems am I going to run into?
Also I looked in the gallery and I could not find any pictures of a 65 f100 4x4 lifted with big tires. I know someone here has to have one. Please guide me to the pictures so that I can see what my truck might look like.
AZ, We can only advise on making it work, and not on how you will like what it looks like. Wheels are something that can easily be changed if you don't like it.
I like your thoughts for moving the sheetmetal. I would look at moving the cab and front clip as one piece. Totally it's not that heavy, it's just bulky. IMHO
Hey Madman, If you go to the galleries, at the bottom of the page you can slect year 1966, that will take you to that style and on the second page Look for The Long Road pics, That guy is putting a slick body on a 4x4 frame. Some nice pics of what it will look like, I Hope that helps ya, Bill W AZ ? I'm in NW Tucson
One problem with all the 1964/66 Stylesides is the small rear wheel openings (cutouts). Since 1966/77 Bronco's have the same wheel cutout configuration, the aftermarket Bronco rear wheel sheetmetal panels can be welded on the F series Styleside beds. Take a look at some 1966 thru 1977 Bronco's to get an idea of what I'm refering to.
