Extra wires
I was messing around with the truck and got to thinking that a lot of the wires under the hood don't connect to anything, would these be part of an old generator system? also, how do connect the tempgauge back up?

What year truck and model, engine size, and so on. Your post leaves a lot of ??? Most of the time the extra wiring is someone elses attempt at wiring things in then removing their mods but not the wires.

sorry
still learning all this stuff. 1966 f250, 240 inline (orignal was 300, cracked block had to go) when we switched out the engine we found that the original had some different connecter for the oil and temp gauge, oil was an add on. dad said we didn't need it.
