Back to the doc again.

Most of you know I had back problems earlier this yr. I took a few weeks of PT & it cleared up. About 10 days ago my back started hurting again. I thought it was just my back muscles again. It got worse everyday till it got to hurting so bad that I went to the doctor today. It wasn't pulled back muscles. It is a bad kidney infection. Its bad enough he had me to take off work till Monday. I hope it gets better quick. Oh Well! I'll be spending a lot of time on FTE for the next few days.

I'm plauged with them, damn bacteria grown in me, I only confront it when it reaches an unlivable level, will give one hell of a back ache, so does kidney stones. BTW, I'm now allergic to Levaquin, a favorite antibiotic for those infections, a serious doc will send in a sample of infected urine to the lab, to hit it with a med that it's suceptible to, clears it quickest.

Thanks for the get welll wishes guys. I still feel sore as heck today. Maybe a day without driving that rough riding van will make me feel better. Driving was when it hurt the most & my job requires me to drive quite a lot.
My doc sent the lab blood & urine samples. I'll get a phone call from them when the test come back. He has me on cipro 750mg now. I use a good doctor group. They are the best bunch of doctors I've found since I moved to Memphis. Plus they are in my ins prefered provider group so my copays are $10 per office visit
Mark my dad had lots of the kidney infections too. Paralized folks have poor blood flow which causes the kidney problems. He had gotten like you on several meds. He took them so long that he developed allergies to them.

I took today off because i was just plain mentally and physically damaged.

I don't really want to go into it - but I'm in kinda rough shape. That, and a quarter of what I make goes into driving to the place and back.

The rest pays off what a stupid woman ran up on credit cards of mine.
(Reason I am no longer retired)

Dang I wish I could ride out & visit. I would but I might make my back start feeling bad again. One of the pills I'm taking makes you pee blue. I may not bleed Ford blue but I'm sure peeing Ford blue right now.
Get well Dutch. You need a day of rest. You have been working too much lately.

You sure that you don't have a kidney stone, they cause infections by wrecking the inside of the kidney like a shard of glass, would explain much of the pain.
I can tell a kidney infection now from the rest even without the pain, my right leg gets red like a rash from the poison blood that gets trapped due to poor circulation.

I'll know more when the test results come back. I've had 2 stones already. It hurts like hell to pass a kidney stone. It feels like you pissed a red hot piece of bobwire. I'm just resting & waiting for the lab to send my doc the results. I'll have to get a MRI if he thinks its a stone.

Ultra sound is cheaper, should get one, for sure, it shows if the kidney has damage, I'm supposed to get one every 6 months.

Dad's had 7, one looked like a broken piece of glass and was near a centimeter, doc had a pic of it with a ruler, wish he hadn't sent it to the lab, would look good in a ring setting, was that big. Women don't have anything on him since it's worse than child birth, woman told him she's had both, and yes it is.
