I would also check on your credit history.
Sites like My Fico gives you a credit rating, and your credit history; for a fee of course.

I just did mine and found that there's a credit card account that's not mine.
Apparently it looks like someone typed in a slightly different name than mine.
It could have been an error, or...................................I don't know.
That could have affected my credit history.
So I submitted an online investigation report and they removed that account. Cool.
