have a 2000 5.4 engine/tranny that want to put in a 50's f100
it has the wiring that comes from the engine that I assumes plugs into an ecm but nothing past the wiring
I understand that the PATS anti-theft system and some of the other electronics can be very frustrating to deal with
called a few places that do aftermarket wiring harnesses to put efi engines in old tin but they don't seem to support this motor
I would really appreciate any advice, suggestions who to call, etc
I would use a wiring harness and comp from a 1998 or 97 vehicle, you don't have to worry about the PATS and such then. (yes it can be a PITA to deal with..) Just get a whole wiring harness, most of it will plug right up, although you may have to switch some sensors back to a 98 specific.. Would have to look into that more though, not much has chanegd electronically since 98.
