Np203 -np205
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: The truck with the 203 is a '75 F100, and the 205 is a '79 F150. Both have a d44 and Ford 9".

You can do it one of two ways: Use the short adapter(6") that came with the 203 and get linkage from a NP205 that has a short adapter(6")(if your parts truck doesn't have it).
Or Change the transmission tail shaft and use the long(9") 205 adapter and linkage.
You will need new driveshaft lengths(might be able to use the front one from the parts truck), but you'll need a longer rear driveshaft.(about 10" longer).
For the first thing I wrote it would make more sense if you knew the length of the adapters between the t case and transmission on both trucks.
All 203s had a adapter alittle shy of 6"(about 5 3/4" or somthing like that)
Most 205s had a adapter about 9" long, with a few the same as the 203= 6"
Also the 79 with have bigger yokes(1330), u joints.
IF you use a driveshaft off the 79 you'll need a conversion u joint to bolt to the axle yoke, or use the yokes off of the parts truck.
You will also need the shifter it's self, and manual locking hubs.
I'm trying to do the same thing, but don't have a parts truck, so I'm running in to a few problems, but here's a link with alittle info on what I've done.
