I mess you my rear fenders holes in the bed ... I would have to fill the holes and redrill , repaint ,to raise the fender so it would look right . I'm going to sell I can not look at this truck with out throwing up...no F-100 show for me . I guess I'll take the over trans out for the other truck...
I know you've been busting your butt lately trying to get your truck ready for the big show. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to realize that the fenders were mounted in the wrong place, especially after show much work. Walk away from the truck for a day or two. Take a break from it.
With your fabrication skills I'm sure you can come up with a solution. How about just redrilling the holes and getting the fenders mounted. Maybe cover the bed with a tonnoue cover or something like that until after the show.
Please don't give up. You work is outstanding, this is just a minor setback

I'm with Bobby. It's best to walk away from things for a while than to give up altogether. I let my '53 sit for months without working on it. It can be a downer at times, but it's never a reason to quit. Go do something else for a few days and come back to it with a clear mind later. Remember, this is supposed to be a hobby
After what you've done with this truck it'd be a shame not to see it finished. You gotta have the most unique truck I've ever seen. Take a rest, think it over, think about your original vision of what this truck's gonna look like. Think about when you're standing there at the show answering all the questions and seeing the look in the eyes of admirers. This thing's gonna rock.
Are you kidding me......that is a small issue in comparison to others that I've faced. Heck, I can't even start on the flubs on this project that has even sent me to the ER due to stress and hurting myself, not to mention the F-ups that were brought on by paid professionals. I am just now getting my cab repainted after a 2,000 ( cab only) paint job. But I am ever sure that I will get r done. Your issue is but a hiccup, do not give in. We love these trucks enuf to see it thru. Nothing a full box bedrug cant fix pal. Jon
Don't let a schedule ruin your enjoyment of the hobby. Take a little time off and the next time you look at the problem, it won't seem so bad. The work you do is tremendous and I would hate to see you not finish.
Anyone working on old trucks, especially to the degree you are, is only asking for disappointment if you are forced to work on a schedule. Everybody will have problems and setbacks most only require time to correct. Time is everybody’s enemy and it affects those on a schedule the most. Your doing a great job and your a talented builder, don't give up!
it started with the drive shaft, 3 trip to town 60 miles each time ,4 u joints which I can not return $ about $100.,,,,,then the rims come 2 different bolt patten ( 2 rims 5 5 , 2 rims 5 43/4 ),I had to paid the shipping back and to get the right $140.the trans the side cover falling off (400 R) and the bed just painted this weeking I spent time to line up the fenders, paint to redo about $500 .I'm just pi-- money so all the time off will not get this done,I could put plugs in the holes BUT just think of all the people who look and give there 2 cent ,I don't think I could take it...The fun is gone and that is why I did this for the FUN of it
Yup, you have definatley reached the point where you need to walk away for awhile. With major deadlines looming and you pushing yourself so hard all the little problems seem to propagate and snowball. If the fun is going away, then its for sure a time to put it under wraps for awhile.
Forget about the schedule, forget about taking it to the big show, just forget the whole danged thing for awhile. Push it back in the garage, maybe even throw a cover over it. Look at the rest of your gorgeous stable of vehicles, take one (or more) of those beauties to the show instead. There's always next year or another show.
I know its not much consolation, but it happens to us all.
you do great work , i show your gallery to my friends that think i am crazy for redoing an old truck. i get frustrated and i dont even have a motor yet , just step back and take one of them other girls to the prom this time. and as for all the peoples 2 cents , 99% of them couldn't do any thing as nice as your bad stuff ,so dont sweat them.

It's all part of the hobby. I pushed myself really hard one summer to get my truck painted and assembled, and do the interior, only to have the "rebuilt" transmission blow up on its maiden voyage. I had to wait another 10-months or so just to get the money together to have another built. These projects take time. I think if everything went smoothly and as planned, there would be alot more people restoring old cars.
