Thumbs up New remote starter

Got the new remote starter installed today. I'm sure I will really enjoy it in the summer with the AC on, and getting into a cool truck! But most of all it will be the best in the winter; getting into a warm truck with the defroster running! Thanks for all the replies when I first posted this; again, your help was really appreciated!

The remote startrer is a CrimeStopper unit installed at the local Ford dealership. The truck is a 2005 F-150 4WD. The remote easily works from over 100 ft. I am very happy with it and am sure I will be even happier when it is 0 degrees out and I can get into a warmed up truck!

If you don't mind me asking, what was the damage to the pocketbook? I just ordered a 2007 F150 4X4 and did not put a remote starter in just brcause I wanted to integrate that feature with a security system. As far as starting in 0 degrees,, I know what you mean, I'm moving to Wyoming in June after spending 7 years on a tropical island. Send a link where you purchased the kit.

I know every installer is different, but in my experience with mine, I just got the remote starter and had CarSmart put it in for me, took like half a day and cost about $280 out the door. Mine works from InSaNe distances, I was walking through the mall a few weeks ago and for the hell of it, wanted to see if it would start halfway across the mall.

I'll be damned if the thing wasn't running and ready to go when we went outside. This last winter was by far, the greatest I've had in a long time. No more throwing on my shoes just to run out and start my truck, just to run back inside and wait.

MONEY WELL SPENT.

My family all chipped in and got it for me for a birthday gift; I believe it was about $300 for the remote starter and installation. They went to the local Ford dealer to get it and have it installed. I dropped the truck off early in the morning and it was done in the early afternoon.
