Brake Trouble.....

Hi Folks, My brakes are driving me stupid. I have a 87 F-150, 4x4, 4 speed,
4.9
inline 6, all stock. My brake problem is on my front brakes. Disc brakes,
I put on new rotors and brake pads, now I got this stupid click noise, from
my left side only. I put new slide pins and anti rattle clips on, and bended
the brake pad tabs as far as possible. I used all the pad shims,The faster I go the faster the click sound, if I just barely push the brake the click stops. I
have no trouble at all with the right side. Thank you all for any help, I've
never had this happen before, and it is driving me crazy. Again Thank You.

Something is off with the anti rattle clip. They make a rubber cement just for brake pads, that may solve your issue. Otherwise you will need to add some tension to the anti-rattle clip somehow.

Thank you ReAX, for your help. Although I've never used cement on brake pads before.
So can you tell me, do you just put the cement on the outer pad? I've always used
brake grease on both inner and outer pads, Again I thank you much for your help.

The rubber cement goes between the pad backing plate and the caliper. The idea is it secures the pad to rotor when the piston retracts.

Thanks again ReAX, the rubber cement seems to work. Do you know how long the rubber
cement will hold? Thank you I really appreciate your help....

Usually as long as the pads depending on the environment.
