I agree with duck, you don't know until you ask. The only stupid question, is the one that you have, but don't ask it. Remember, we all had to start somewhere, and helping each other out is what we are here for....Right??? Don't go scaring the new people off, we need them.
I'm not bashing you audimaster, just trying to make sure that the new guys know that they are welcome to post any question that they have.
Come on guys the 10k mod cost less than $1. I havent done it myself but it does add fuel and a few hp. That and the idm mod if you are confident in your work. I know he said "without spending any money" but I have a couple bucks he can have and go spend at radio shack. Also the eot mod advances the timing with a resistor.
My apologies to emain879, this forum, duck and plow. I was just joking, no intentions to scare the new guy. The question in general about any motor smoking is still kind of funny to me. It was indeed a legit question being that we all know what hes talking about. I hope I didn't come off to harsh as in it was a bad question.
No problem, audimaster, I knew that you were having fun, but someone new to the forum, that has not seen some of our post (pimp names, etc.) may take it the wrong way. I have seen some old mechanics (with their old sense of humor) poke fun at new guys in a shop until they quit or someone that came in to ask for advice and loose a customer.
So with new guys or gals you have to be careful until they get used to us and understand that we may pick at someone and have some fun, but they are welcome and we will try our best to help them.
And audimaster, YOU are an important part of this forum to!!!!
