I just started getting a strange vibration from the front of the truck. It only does it while the truck is idleing after it is warmed up / driven for about 5 min. It seems to be related to the brakes. It starts and stops with pressure on the brake. It also seems to be somewhat intermitant.
Mine did the same thing. Turned out the brakes needed replacing and the rotors were turned, too. Solved the problem for me. Hope that helps you.

Welcome to FTE flyingcouch. I like the name you have chosen. Lot's of room for boyhood dreams.
I agree on the hydraulic system problems. If the level is up, then you could try moving the steering side to side and see if you can duplicate the problem. That would point toward the pump itself as it has to build more pressure to move the wheels at the command of the steering input. You may have to turn the steering all the way to the left or the right to the stop where the pressure is the highest to get it to do it.
No vibration while turning the steering, then it points to the hydroboost itself.
With the transmission in NEUTRAL and the engine stopped, apply the brakes several times to exhaust the vacuum in the vacuum boost system or the pressure in the Hydro-Boost system.
Hold the brake pedal in the applied position.
Start the engine.
If the power brake system is functioning properly, the brake pedal can be felt to move downward after the engine starts.
Accumulator, Hydro-Boost Only
Start and run the engine.
Stop the engine.
Apply the brakes. The accumulator in the Hydro-Boost power brake booster should retain enough pressure for at least two power assisted brake operations. If no power assist is felt, replace the Hydro-Boost power brake booster and retest the system.

Hello Everybody: Flyingcouch, I am a newperson here alao. Glad to here somebody else is having the same problem that I have. Mine just started last week after replacing the belt. I have norred it down to powersteering or break booster, fluid is full.
Thanks for the information Kwikkordead and Amiller93 going to try that tomorrow and see what happens.
Hey guys, need to dig up this thread again. I'm having the same problem as mentioned above.
At idle I can feel and here a grinding/vibration in what appears to be the power steering pump. Turning the steering wheel will make it change tones or go away, and increasing engine RPM's will make it go away as far as I can tell. The PS fluid level is good and I have no leaks. Further, the steering and brakes work fine, but his grinding is very disconcerting.
Has anyone else experienced AND FIXED this problem? If so, what did you have to do to alleviate the problem?
