1995 ford f150 starts and dies
i bought a 1995 ford f150 with a 302 and auto trans. the guy i got it from sold the computer from it so i bought one from a scrap yard. my problem is it starts and dies . i tried it several times and always the same thing it just starts and dies.......anyone have any ideas what to look for? thanks

Is the Program Code on the computer "HUG2"?

I can tell what is the right one for the Truck with this number. I do not think you can not tell from the serial number.
I have a 302 with a 4R70W with a rear end ratio of 3.31 and it has a HUG2 program code and part number F4TF-12A650-APC.
I also removed one from a truck in a salvage yard with the same set up and it also had the HUG2.

I hope the part number in the list will match the one you bough.
This is a different Calibration Number than I have so I do not know your Program Code off hand, if I find it I will post back.

As you can see from the list the part number that they should have gave you was:
F4TF-12A650-BBB but I think a postfix of BBA & BBC would also work.
Did the old owner say why he parked it and what it was doing then?
You may also want to check the fuel pressure by grounding pin#6 of the test connector with the key on, not running with a pressure gauge on the fuel manifold.
Also check the timing, pull out the SPOUT and to see if it will start and stay running. It may be shutting down when you leave base timing as somebody may have timed it wrong. It should be 10* BTDC with the SPOUT out.

I did see on one of the computer reseller list that a BBA or BBC will also work but Ford listed it as BBB.
