Dark shmark! Run watcha wanna I say. If what you got is what you bought, bolt it together and see what happens, mine turned out o.k. with the help of about 7 experts all drinkin' beer and starin' at it sayin' "well ya know larry, you could always do this." One guy is a professinal race car suspension dude, my effie corners like a vette thanks to his advice. Have fun with it .....CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?????
Thanks. I know that Albuqf1 is right, that is why I'm boxing the frame and redoing the crossmembers. That is why I'm wanting to talk to someone that has finished building one with the vet suspension and pick their brain.

Sorry to hear you were struck ill and are deciding to put a Corvette drivetrain in a 55 F100. My question is why? Some of you guys who truly love the 53-56 F100's need to attend the Supernationals and you'll find out the meaning of true Ford's and the recognition Ford trucks get that are running a Ford drivetrain. With that Corvette drivetrain, I'd recommend keeping the hood down or deal with the ridicule you have to hear about your engine having the distributor in the wrong place. If I had this corvette drivetrain, I would consider bying a Z28 or something and dropping the drivetrain in that or making a few bucks on ebay. BTW- I'm one of the hardcore Ford guys that RJ was talking about earlier if you can tell LOL.... I also enjoy getting compliments on having a Ford in a Ford.
Distributor in the wrong place, eh? Talk to a '54-'56 owner running a Y-block ...
