I'm going to buy a 5" exhaust from MKO on ebay. I was just wondering how difficult it is to install? I guess the only part to me that seems a little difficult is the downpipe. Looking for a few tips. thanks in advance.
The downpipe will the the toughest part of the install. Soak the C-clamp in some kind of penetrating oil like WD_40 over night. Be patient with that part of the install it took me over an hour.
I would definitly have a buddy around when you go to put the downpipe on. Other then that it is quite simple. I did my whole thing by myself with the exception of my dad holding the downpip for a min while I climed out from under the truck and did it in about 2 hours. Removed the old one in no time with the help of a sawzaw and new one went in no problem. Only tip I would have is remember the way you have to twist the old downpipe to get it out of there so it is easier to remeber how to get the new one back up in the proper place.
I think the $60 bux I paid an exhuast shop to install my MBRP was worth every penny, and they even warranteed it when I bent the tip on something and caused the rattling I was trying to troubleshoot a few weeks ago.
Well i did mine by myself and it wasn't bad, i held the doun pipe where i needed it with a box. To get the old one off i used a saws all, then grabbed it a gave it a good shove after the clamp was loose and pop it was off... I thought the hardest thing was getting everything lined up so it didn't rub...
thats not bad, $60. I know a lot of shops won't even do it if it was bought somewhere else. But you know, in the past, I have always done mods myself with other cars.
A little dirt, a little sweat and some cursing just seems to make my relationship with my truck a little more "intimate". Just kidding, alright!

Yeah, most bigger things automotive I get someone to do, because my tool of choice goes from screwdriver to pliers to vice grip to 5lb hammer rather abruptly LOL.
