Starter Going?
I Have A 03 6.0 And Yesterday It Turned Over But Didnt Fire Had To Try It A Second Time And The It Made A Starting Grind After Turning It Back On In The Drive Thru Is My Starter Going Out It Only Has 64000 On It?

The bendix gets weak and either won't stay engaged or won't come off the flywheel, either will cause a grinding noise. If you take it off and run it over to Napa or Ford, they can put it on a tester and let you know if the bendix is weak. You can replace just the bendix if you are so inclined. My re-man cost $280.00~
