Fog Light operation

Does anyone know if Ford ever ran a setup where the Fog Lights could be switched on without the headlights? I've seen quite a bit of SD's running around with Park Lights and Fog's.. I really don't want to wire a secondary switch for it.. I thought ford has a switch assym that you could pull out in Park Light and the Fog's would come on..

Weren't you getting a new front ARB Sahara bumper with a winch mount? Won't that cover up the factory fogs anyway?

My '03 SD has that setup. I can run with the fog lights and running lights only. I don't know if it was factory or if the previous owner did this, but I know I like it.

I have seen this also and was wondering if it is actually in the switch itself. This is one of the things that I would also like.

Could it be as simple as changing out the headlight switch?
Was it available only on the Lariat package?

Of the people that it works for does the switch pull out in the running lights position?
Mine only pulls out for the fog lights in the headlight position.

My '01 doesn't do that! I have to have the headlights on for the fogs. I've always wanted just the park and fog lights. I think it looks really cool.

my 03 does it, it's a Lariat but not sure if that matters. I'm sure it's stock - I bought it used, but the guy before me did NOTHING to it, bone stock...

For what it's worth, my owners manual doesn't say anything about how to turn on the fog lights. Like the others said though, just put the switch on the marker lights, and pull it out to get the fogs too. Hope that helps...

I have an 03 and to operate the fogs, you turn the headlight switch to either parks or headlights and pull out (towards the driver) on the switch to operate the fogs. You have to have either the parks or headlights on to operate the fogs. I really like this option as I had looked at a 99 and they were operated by the upfitter switches.

On my '07 you can run parking and fog lights without headlights, same as MsgtG.

I have an '04 that lets you have the fog lights on with just the parking lights...it is factory that way. Just pull the **** out when it is on the parking light position. I do have the lariet also...if that matters...but I dont think it would...

Yank and see what happens.

If you break it, get a yankable switch.
