How do you or can you wire subwoofers to a stock head unit. I have a 2005 xlt super crew with the 6 disc in dash mp3 capable head unit. I just added 2 jl audio amps 2 jl 10's subs in a supercrewsound box, fronts are mb quarts component and the back are infiniti 2 way. I am trying to save money and use the stock head unit if possible but if it can be done thats ok.

its called a line output convertor is probably the easiest way. you tap into speaker leads at the back of the radio then it converst them into rca outputs then you run those to the amp. or if you ahve a line level input on your amp you could use those. if you are running a 4channel also you will have to do the same thing but you will have to cut the speaker leads. here is an idea of how things are run...http://www.crutchfield.com/ISEO-rgbt...rs_wiring.html
the "patch cables" are rca's and will be running to the line output convertors at the back of the radio.
Well the audiophile system came with a sub, there’s a chance your head unit has the connector for the sub, it’s a small square plug with 4 pins, but the plug is big enough for 8 pins. Might be worth a look as it will have the signal and the amp enable wire.
that is what the line output convertors are for. they convert speaker wire signal to rca's that you can run to the amp. do some searching for line output convertor. say you tap into your rear speakers, your subs will get their signal from that. and you would use a bass **** on teh amp to control the amp level. its very easy.
yes it can be done. I have almost the same set up in my S-crew except I have rockford fosgate. Your local car audio shop should have everything you need.
