Well as you know I put the 4.5" DR Lift on and 35's.. I have calculated my first fill up and I am actually pleased. But I have a question, when I programed the ECU with the Livewire I set the Revs to 601 per BFG's direction. But my concern is their website says the Rev is 601 @ 45mph. Is that what LiveWire goes by? Or am I off?
What all is effected by the recalibration of the Rev's? I noticed today I went 295.8 miles and my low fuel light came on, normally it comes on at 330+ miles. I filled up with 23.002 gallons (even lower then normal). I came up with 12.86mpg which based on my last 15 fill ups is higher then ever expected. My lowest and worst was 12.2mpg. I was under the impression that the Lift/Tires would cause me less MPG. But it appears it didn't go as low as I expected, I was expecting 10s at the very best.
None the less I am please and very happy! As it went beyond my expectations. I am just curious as to the Rev/mile settings. Wondering if it affects anything such as mileage read out on the digital trip meter. I do a lot of driving tho. I filled up on the 14th and had to refill on the 18th.. I drive about 27 miles to work every day, plus about 4 miles to school 3 days a week and those days its 30 miles back home. So I put some miles on the beast..
Now that is a good looking Truck.................................
Heheh Thanks
I'm getting my wheels this weekend if they come in... Putting 16x10 Eagle Alloy Series 186 Ultra Finished.. Mirror Polished with Clear Coat.. I just couldn't do the high priced Chrome and the style that i'm getting is hard as hell to find in Chrome
Storm, you haven't happened to run a speedo to GPS comparison yet have you? I'm just curious, since I had never really paid attention to my GPS indicated MPH and the speedo MPH before my new BFG's.
But after I put the bigger BFG's on, and I had not yet gone into the Banks PDA to recal the ECU for the correct tire size, I was going down the road and was surprised to find that my speedo was basically 100% right on without recalibrating. I can only guess that it was off before with the stock tires.

No I haven't.. I dont have a GPS around here (yah think I would).. So I'll just get a buddy to roll next to me and do a speed check them..
Today isn't looking so beautimus.. I'm hoping bad fuel.. I filled up last night and went 58 miles.. I'm at 3/4 tank already.. Not cool.. Normally 50 mi she starts dropping from the full mark.. So its either a) bad fuel or b) that stupid fuel gauge crap again where my gauge acts funny..
I'll 2nd the comment about double checking with a GPS -- I expected a bigger difference when I changed tires too, so my speedo must've read high before (since I hadn't checked it against the GPS). My old tires were the stock Conti's 275/70/18 and the new ones are BFG A/T 305/65/18. The Conti's don't actually measure out true to their size, they're more like a 275/65. My speedo now reads low by about 1.5 mph compared with a GPS. You need to find a flat road and set it on cruise & let it steady out.
Costco online has a good deal on the model 2 or so above the one I have: Garmin 2720 for $349 (I have the 2610 and paid $500). Nice thing about this unit, and 1 reason I bought it, is it has a bean bag mount (along with permanent one too), so I move it around to all my cars -- it just sits on the dash, plus I can get a mount to fit my street bike too... GPS' have a lot more functions that just finding your way there, like finding food or a place to stay in a foreign town. My $.02...
