Rebuild Recommendations?
I'm going to be having a friend of mine rebuild my '85 F150's 4.9L. I don't know much about what's involved.
Everyone has a brand of parts that they love... but what about those that you most definitely want to stay away from? Which brand should I never use?
Right now, it looks like most of the parts will be from O'Reilly Auto.

Try Summit Racing you can get everything you need and most of the time it is going to be cheaper than what you can get it for at a local parts house.

FTE has a Performance & Re-building forum and a Engine forum relating to your engine.
I really recommend that you request info in those forums as they are there just for this purpose and that will be where experienced Engine rebuilders hang out.
