reflash still flames

I just got my 08 3 weeks ago love it. It just has another regen cycle. I saw flames coming out of the exhaust. I have had the reflash done. Taken it in tommorw to the dealer. Anybody else had the same problem

So your truck is running fine and your seeing flames out the tailpipe after being to the dealer..... I find this hard to beleive. Sounds like a troll post to me.

The re-flash has not been done if you are getting flames and the truck is fine in all other aspects.

Could just be that the re-flash didn't take. They won't if not done properly. Techs have warned about it in the past.

You are doing the right thing by taking it back.

I agree with that, they had to do mine 3 times for it to take. I doubt the flames anyways sounds like a troll to me, but if not take it back and have it flashed again.

They have a re-flash already. I was hoping that they learned from the 6.0. I want to purchase the new 6.4 in the future, hopefully they work out all of the kinks. This is one reason why I did not purchase the 6.0 back in 2004 and instead purchased the V-10. One thing that still concens me is the small variable venturi turbo. I pissed they still use this in the new motor. What is going to stop this one from having the same problems as the one on the 6.0.

Be careful, c-moor29, there is more than just 1 tech watching this. There hasn't been any mention of proper fuel use (more than usual regen cycles), any half baked modifications, how was it driven? (A lot of idling, low speed operations) That many miles and only 2 regen cycles? This forum is not a good place to gather evidence for proper diagnostics. If you're a good tech, you listen intently, and realize that there are folks that like to "stir the turd, just to make it stink".

I understand what you saying, there are alot of people that seem to be trying to make a stink on this site. It just looks like some people dont want to hear any thing bad about a new truck. And that is no different than someone who is trying to make a stink. I just would like to see someone who makes a post about a problem, other people asking ?s about when where and how, others saying what they have seen, and then a solution. Never once talking about big ugly things that live under bridges.
