I once put those SplitFire plugs in a 1995 F150 with 45k. Those plugs were about 6 bucks each. Didn't make a bit of difference, the truck ran exactly the same. Of course it ran fine to begin with, but I didn't get more power, smoother idle, or more mpg. The plugs may make more of a difference on a higher mileage engine, I don't know. But for my money I have only used regular plugs since.

The Autolite Platnium plugs are probably the best bang for the buck and last. The Bosch are great plugs too however if you are not running nitrous or a supercharger you will never tell the differance (unless you use an engine dyno). Save the money.

In conversations with Ford, Jacobs and Hypertech, they all agreed on this topic. Use the standard Ford Autolite plugs as defined in your owner's manual.
All three companies said that platinum-tipped and/or any other type of "speciality plug" would not enhance performance in any manner.
