Anybody have an idea where I can obtain the correct lower radiator hose for my 1995 Bronco, 5.8L, Auto, with trailer tow package? There is a tee in the main hose with a feed and return that goes to a factory oil cooler attached to the block at the oil filter base. Non or the parts shops have the CORRECT hose for this application. I know the cooler is OE because I ordered and took delivery of the truck new. Thanks!
Yes. I just find $76 a little hard to take for a hose. Spent an hour at the local parts shop with the "Gates" catalog and nothing. Didn't know if Goodyear or others may make one.
Here's a thought..... it may very well not apply, so take it with a grain of salt. I had a trailer towing package on an F-150 once, and could not get the proper radiator hoses from the parts houses to save my life. I discovered through trial and error that the "optional" 4-inch thick radiator in the truck, for the given engine (a 351), was standard in the F250. After this, every time I ordered anything to do with the radiator (hoses, fan shroud, etc.), I ordered for the same year and engine, but an F250 instead. Have you checked the application for a heavier duty pickup of your same year and engine? I realize you have a Bronco, but the radiator support should be the same. Maybe just what you're looking for came stock on the F250 or F350......
Haha, I posted on this exact subject on another board. For those that will need to replace this hose soon I could only find it at the Ford dealer at about $100 cdn. Gates doesnt make it and couldnt find it elsewhere. Figure its time to replace the hose after 6/7 yrs before it busts.
I replaced both of the lower hoses (there are 2 pieces), and got them from Pep Boys. They had both in stock, and I think that together, they ran about $35-$40. That was two years ago that I did this repair.
