VDO Gauges....question please
Just got 2-VDO gauges, a 30# boost gauge and a 1650 degree EGT. The EGT came with a sender and a threaded bung-adapter (like an oxygen-sensor inlet) that I imagine needs to be welded in and the boost gauge needs tubing, which I can get.
My question: Where is the best place for the exhaust sensor? I assume the manifold directly? Or is there an easier place? (I am looking for PRE turbo temp) and also, where is a good place to tap the boost gauge tubing?

Tap the MAP line, get a Brass 1/4" tee fitting, then two 1/4" barbed to 1/4 threaded fittings and a 1/8" compression to 1/4" threaded fitting...
EGT, Drill and tap the exhaust manifold about an inch from the dougnut.

"MAP" line=manifold absolute pressure sensor? Is this the one on the passenger side rear of engine? That would show boost?
