Well I loaded up some hay for the horses yesterday afternoon late. They were happy, and then I began to back out, and low and behold, the tree that has been there for 20 years moved. Took off the drivers side mirror and crinkled the front fender. Total cost $1910.00. I have 7000 miles on this new F350. I could have screamed.
hehehe,I did the same thing with my wife's Taurus wagon about 10 years ago,we were horsing around under a sundeck to the motel we were at and I was driving, she went to grab me through the window so I backed up not realizing the wheel was turned to the right, car was parked next to a support column and well, you know the rest, took the drivers side mirror off that door like I used a knife! I got stopped in time so I didn't hit the fender, not too much was said the rest of the day! When we got home,I gave the body shop guy an old sears lawn tractor in exchange for the repair so things worked out fairly well so yes,I feel your pain!Been there, done that!
My daughter (a senior at the time) used to get up early so she could drive my 92 F150 SC LWB instead of the Taurus to school just so that the boys would stare at her driving the 'big' truck. Now I can't keep her out of either of the trucks. Dad gave her a Ranger...but she'd still rather drive one of Dads trucks. Sometimes it's good to be a dad.
