98 explorer servicing

I've a 98 explorer 4x4, 4.0L, automatic

A number of years ago when I purchased this vehicle new, I was given a print out of the dealer recommended servicing schedule

Inspection at 100,000 km and 200,000 km

Special operating conditions and other services.

Op code: 132P replace fuel filter every 20,000 km. under special operating conditions.

Op code: 10P off road service every 20,000 km. ( inspect , clean , lube underbody, linkages, vents and brakes)

Op code: 870P Change Automatic Transmission fluid every 200,000 km. ( 50,000 under special operating conditions)

Op code 228P Replace rear axle lubricant every 250,000 km. (100,000 km under special operating conditions)

Op code 5P Replace front axle lubricant every 250,000 km. ( 100,000 km under special operating conditions)

Op code 190P Replace PCV valve every 150,000 km. ( 100,000 km under special operating conditions)

Op code 199P Replace platinum spark plugs every 150,000 km. ( 100,000 km under special operating conditions)

Op code 8P Replace transfer case fluid every 250,000 km. ( 100,000 km. under special operating conditions)

Op code 275P Replace Accessory Drive Belt every 200,000 km.

The vehicle has been maintained according to the severe conditions schedule as listed in the

owners manual on servicing. The vehicle is mostly city driven but has been

used off road for 15% of the total mileage.

I wondering if those out there would agree with the dealer schedule.

I am now coming up at 145,000 km and anticipate the 150,000 km service.

Do you think the called for 150,000 km changes should be done at that time

If I read you correctly, you have performed the service a 100,000km, so no there would be no need to do it again at 150,000km.

Should you have drivability issues or a drop in fuel economy(if there is such a condition with an EX) then this service would be in order at any time.
