Sry folks, too many pages to search, so I apoligize if this is already in a thread...
My problem:
-After about 15 mins of driving, the coolant spews out of the cap.
What I do know:
-Chem test was run for well over 30mins to check headers. Test came up negative.
-Cap was replaced.
-Waterpump has a small leak.
-Engine is not overheating.
I took the cap off with the truck idling. When I revved the engine, the coolant level dropped normally, and when I let off the pedal, the water "super" surged back up. Is there any other way of having these symptoms without bad head gaskets?
One possibility is a pin-hole leak in the coolant recovery tank hose; the radiator forces coolant into the tank when warm, but pulls air back when cooling off because of the hose leak. If this is the problem, you always have air in the cooling system. Maybe the pump leak is allowing air in also.
