Won't shift into 2nd gear??
6 cyl with granny4 speed in a 87 f150. Low miles (76000), and may be the orig. clutch. It has never released or shifted very well since I have owned it now for about 6 months. Could this be a problem with the clutch, slave, or tranny???

just about anything could be the problem at this point. I had an 86 with a 4 speed and didn' t have any problems getting it into 2nd.
start by checking all your fluids. at 76k, the tranny fluid may never have been changed. clutch hydraulics could be low on fluid as well.
