Unhappy Roush'd disappointment

It should have been the day – 8 weeks of waiting, numerous “little delays” but today was supposed to be the day my dream truck arrived. They called, told me to call the insurance company – transfer the coverage and come get my baby. Couple of weeks late, an extra lease payment / milage... but it was all worth it - I thought.
Roush don’t move anywhere near the volume in Canada compared to US but I’m dealing with the top Roush dealership in Canada… when you go to www.roush.ca – you come to this dealerships website. It’s over an hour and a half from where I live but I didn’t want to mess around – if your going to do it, do it right & call the experts. Good advice you’d think.
I spent the weekend pulling all the bolt on mods off the 04 and arrived as I was instructed at 5:30 tonight to pick up my Black 07 FX4 plus. Roush intercooled, Roush stabilizer bar & duel exhaust, Blisten shocks all around… the drive home should have been a dream come true.
When I got there the sales guy look terrified and the manager was hiding in his office (never did come out) The truck wasn’t ready – it wouldn’t be ready for days. They’d known this since mid afternoon but no one called. They claim they were having trouble with the Ford remote starter when they discovered one of the keys wasn’t programmed for the truck. Apparently they needed to plug into the computer to program the key and when they did this, the computer returned to OEM??? Come on – really? We can’t program a key without needing to send the computer back to Roush?
To rub salt in it all, I had already instructed the insurance company to transfer the coverage, it was after 5, insurance on my old truck expired at midnight… there was no way for me to leave and drive the next day without risking driving with no insurance. They sent me home in a Ford Fusion – I’m 6’8”, 300ish pounds – I’m going to need a chiropractor for a week. I had my young son with me, I had a bottle of rye for the mechanic who built the Truck and Red Wine for the sales guy… I was all ready to celebrate the delivery of my mid life crisis… what a disappointment! We'll see how the dealership makes this all feel better before I completely toss them under the bus. I've always said, crap happens - it's what you do about it that counts.
Not the post I was hoping to make tonight but I needed to vent somewhere. Hopefully I’ll get this beauty home soon.
Cheers (I wish)

Damn brother, I feel your pain.

I hope it all works out for you and this will be nothing but a blip on the radar down the road.
