i wander if that is the original ford exhaust housing, or the high volume 3" one that ATS sold as a aftermarket ?
the story i heard from a diesel garage was Ford didn't like how loud the 3" exhaust was, so went to 2.5" instead, but at cost of higher exhaust temp and backpressure.
That is a stock Ford system, you can tell by the outlet flange and the smashed downpipe.
It does look like a complete system though.
The reasons Ford went with the 2.5" downpipe were because of firewall clearance and the fact they were getting ready to release the Power Stroke engine.
Who would want to spend all that extra money for a slower truck.
With a 3" downpipe and a low restriction muffler the stock 94 to 97 Power Strokes are slower than a turbo IDI.
The 94 to 97 Power Strokes had the same smashed downpipe that the IDI turbo had.
High backpressure from the downpipe and muffler Ford used kept the power way down and the EGT way up on the IDI and first generation Power Strokes.
They didn't figure out the exhaust was killing the power untill the 99 model came out.

The guy is selling because he refuses to cut up his fire wall??? what the %#$^. From what I saw it was the factory system and should go right in. Even if you had to modify the fire wall like you do with a 3" down pipe, so what the power gains are worth it. Besides I thought it was just that seam that needed to be cut and bent over.
If you'd ever seen his truck, you'd understand his apprehension on cutting it.

I've seen that truck before! Was for sale on ebay a long while ago. It has a nice rebuilt engine with a chromed out dual ram air. IIRC it has Dana super 80's and alot more goodies. Frame off restoration, the whole nine yards and then some...
