Problems caused by speed control sensor?
I'm looking at buying a 1992 f150 and the guy selling it says that his mechanic told him he needs a new speed control sensor. Then later in the description he talks about it shifting hard and the speedo and odometer don't work. If you put in the new sensor would it fix all of those problems? Or a least the hard shifting?

A bad speed sensor will cause those problems. Most of the time the sensor is dirty and just needs to be removed and wiped off, a 10 minute job. The sensor is so simplistic that it's hard for them to fail, so a broken wire or a short in that circuit could also be the cause.
