I have a 2002 F-350 powerstroke 6-speed. I have after market exhaust and down pipe, K&N air filter, and a Superchip programer. I want to have more power but i dont want to go crazy. What are some things i could do to get some extra horse power without going out of control on price.
Welcome to the boards. You will get plenty of response from that question. Might want to define "crazy". More power = more money. What type K&N filter do you have?
If it is a drop in, You might want to change it and the factory box out for better filtration.
money isn't quite the issue but say $1000. i just want to be able to drive fast when i want to or pull a lot of wieght when i want to (and still be fast). I just have the drop in air filter.
What are some things i could do to get some extra horse power without going out of control on price.
EXPLAIN the last part of this statement, all I read is BLAH,BLAH,BLAH. Almost just like my wife when she is talking about me buying something for my truck
You've got the easy stuff out of the way, you might want to give Jody a call at DP tuner and get a set of hotter tunes(I will be doing so in about 2 weeks). is your K&N a drop in or a cone? if its a drop in, look at a 6637 kwikk filter mod or possibly an AIS if you don't want the added under hood volume.
ON EDIT: 1000.00, definately do a filter mod, get some tunes from DP, upgrade to a ATS turbo housing and wicked wheel, that about covers a grand, maybe a little more.

If you are looking for much more power it will cost. Seems you have the standard setup...exhaust, tuner, intake. Much more power and I would be willing to bet your clutch will protest. That is of course assuming you have a stock clutch. My clutch has a 100k on it and hates anything above 85 hp setting of my predator tuner.
I'll leave the power add ons for the power gurus. I will tell you that there has been a lot of problems with the factory boxes and dropin filters letting dust through and ruining turbos and engines. An inexpensive fix is the Kwik or 6637 mod. Use the search feature near the top of the page and you will get tons of reading. You can also look through the first post at the top of the forum for common mods and that will give you some more popular power mods.
So far it sounds like i need better intake, and maybe a better tuner. What about turbo compressor wheels or waste gate actuators? I just have a stock clutch but i only have 40,000 on the pick-up. Get back too me thanks>
go and see mods list , maybe you get more ideas,
like 6637 filter from Fleet filters, or best get AIS filter system,
go here-----> http://www.7point3.com/mods.aspx
GO to Dp Tuner website. They are site sponsors. Give them a call and talk to Jody and tell him specifically what you have done and planning to do with your truck. Also give BTS a call and talk to them about their valve body's. Both DP TUner and BTS (Brian's Truck Shop) work together to get the most power to the ground for our trucks. I used to use K&N cone style filter and the filtration was horrible, I replaced mine with the 6637. There is a little more drone now but I just turn the radio up. AIS, and AFE are awesome but are more expensive. Hope this helps. Oh yeah get some gauges boost, pyro you want to monitor those while you are increasing power.
you can get WW- whicked Wheel thats around 60-100$
AIS 200$ or so
HPX x-over pipe for you heads 60$
DP Tuner 250$ up, depending on programming,
Banks Big Head Waistgate actuator
Map fouler from ITP, so once you making big HP your SES light wont show up, cause you be making upwards of 22# of boost
and depending on how good you are with install you can buy premade gauge pilar or do it yourself around 300$
that would get you started and put about 120HP to rear wheels
