Hey, I'm sure by now everyone has heard about the massacre at VA Tech. I just wanted to send my thoughts and prayers out to all those in SW Virginia and anyone else directly affected by this tragedy. This is the world we live in now and it's a damn shame.
I know this doesn't help, but if any of our members are from this area, please know that I'll be thinking about you over the next few days.
Be careful everyone and may your kids come home to hug you very soon.....
You know, I live about 45 min. away from this college. I have been there many times doing work for the college and going to sporting events. This is just something that you think or can't imagine ever happening close to where you live and at a place that you are so familiar with. It is very disturbing to people in our area that this has happened and it just goes to show you that it can happen anywhere and anytime and it isn't something that you can prepare for. I have talked to several people that I work with and friends that have kids up there and none of them were involved.
Let's all pray for them and hope that nothing like this happens again!!
I have no idea of the details yet - none of us do.
It is a senseless act, but we don't know where it came from yet.
I'm waiting for the details, but I bet they still make no sense.
It may be a terror action, or just someone who flipped their lid. If it was someone who flipped - it might be from inside or outside the college community.
We don't know yet, or at least I don't.

I live about 35 minutes from campus. Kinda hits close (too close) to home for us in SW VA. If anyone has seen a list of the casualties, I would really like to see it. I have several HS friends that go there.
