A while back during a big blizzard my brother and I got stuck in the stroker, well I had to be kind of "mean" to it to get out, but at the rate it was going our lives weren't risking because it was to that point in the game. It got some pretty good rpm a few times, tighter than it should have, but before with my predator there are times where I would almost get a "backfire" out the exhaust over 2500 rpm. After I got stuck I noticed at idle I have a vibration or a shake every so often, its not sequenced or consistent on time, but it is enough where the shifter (6-speed) will move just a little bit. About every 10-15 seconds on avg. Most people don't notice it, but it wasn't there before we got stuck. I've got to the point where I have forgot about it. I've got probably 4k miles since then with nothing funny in the oil, or acting different. It still runs fine, but just was curious if I should pull the covers off and look, or if I am just too **** about things. Thanks for any input-Aaron.
Can you read fault codes?? It is a big help to narrow down the cause.. If you take your covers off, check the 9 pin connector UVC and inspect the harnesses for short and fraying.. I had a miss which would come and go and my UVC connector was 1/4" loose and not making contact all the time..I fixed it with a shim under plastic locking tabs. The pass. side was also loose but still OK.. fixed it also with my shim method..
Well i had a little bit of a shake also in my 6 speed till i replaced the clutch, you said you got some pretty good RPM a few times. Just a thought, you didn't say mile's on the clutch, stock or not...
stock clutch, I have 142k on it, not sure if it was ever messed with from the time it had one replaced at 6k miles. I was almost leaning towards clutch because it wasn't a constant thing, but it doesn't make any different noise just a little bit of a shake that you can feel in the drivers seat. Its time for a clutch sometime soon, I know it has the miles when I pulled the trans to replace the TOB.
