I've found a lot of good info using the search function on the boards comparing aluminized systems to stainless steel, and thought I'd ask a question on aluminized systems in a new thread.
Has anybody painted their aluminized pipes with anything like the Rustoleum Auto paints or other types of products that are available? My thought was that some sort of paint or treatment like that might help to slow/prevent corrosion and extend their life expectancy-
Just thinking...I'll be in the market soon, and maybe that would be an option for me for a more affordable aftermarket replacement.
Several in here have painted their Aluminized exhaust, but they use the high temp stove paint. I haven't heard anything about the long term benefits, but I'm sure it works.
