I was wonder if anyone knew if shorty headers from a 5.0 mustang would work on a full size bronco with a 302 in it. If not what is a good set of headers that won't break the bank. The truck is an 88.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-Nov-01 AT 07:01 PM (EST)]I’m not sure if the mustang headers will clear you may have to do some modifications to the header with a ball peen hammer, and the exhaust pipe might not line up.
If your looking for the best price truck header, the least expensive I’ve found was in JcWhitney, Pacesetter at $159.95 they are the painted. They also have the same header but in ceramic coating, these will last longer and look better, the price for those are $269.95.
The headers from the Mustang will probably not work. I have a 95 F-150 and installed a set of Hedman shorty style headers on it about 3 years ago. They were around $175 out of a Summit racing catalog and were fairly simple to install (it took me and a buddy most of an afternoon because we had a few cold ones as we worked.) Other than changing the header gasket twice and making sure to keep the header bolts tightened, they have been great. They still look great and sound great.
