well i tryed to look on the axle and i found 2 tags one with the oil and one with random numers and no ratio any help need to order new gear and need to know
Those random numbers are your ratio and gear dia. "355 975" would mean your gear ratio is 3.55 open diff with 9.75" dia ring gear and that is almost always the rear diff. If it's 3L55 then it has limited slip. The front tag should say 355 88 where the 88 means 8.8" dia ring gear.

If it hasn't been removed yet you should have a tag on your rear differential with info about the gears. It will be a stamped piece of metal that is attached with one of the bolts that hold the cover on. It should be pretty easy to read and figure out your ratio.
