rear window wires

Question rear window wires

there are 2 wires coiled wraped in rubber,one onb each upper side.i dont know if these are for defrost or tint but 1 broke off.is this a easy fix or a dealer fix. thanks

greenterror, Those wires are for the defroster. I had a problem with one not too long ago and ran accross this solution. Hope this helps out.

if the tab came off the window, the repair is about 50/50 effective. sometimes they just won't stick back on

this happened to mine as well

I think it looks like copper tabs. can I just solder the broken tab back together and not worry about a 25 dollar kit?
