Hey all, This past weekend I took the bronco out on the highway everything was doing good for about ten minuutes and then she started slowing down all on her own. I had started out doing 75mph level grade in OD lasted for about ten minutes and then she slowed down to 50 I tried putting it to the floor and she down shifted into third but still lost speed. on a slight down hill grade I was able to get her back up to 65mph but upon leveling out again she slowed down to about 50mph. once on serface streets she was chugging to the point of almost stalling. I have not checked the pluggs to se if they are bad but was wondering if this would be typical of timing being off.
Thanks
Dave

I saw the same problem in a Chevy pickup I had the severe misfortune of driving. The fuel filter was all clogged up and had to be replaced. Not sure how to check for a bad fuel filter, but I would try an additive first. Good luck.
Had same problem with my 95 it was also surging and would not idle correctly. It also cut off when I would stop quickly. After replacing the plugs, cap, rotor, wires, fuel filter, EGR valve, EGR position sensor but the TPS sensor was the trick. I used the engine code flash out feature to finally figure out what it was.
