Center console

I have an 88 fullsize Bronco. My biggest complaint with it is the center console, the drink holders are basically worthless. Ive checked several catalogs for replacements without much success. Can anyone out there give me some advise on this it would be much appreaciated

Thanks dwatts15 at earthlink.net

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 03-Dec-01 AT 04:51 PM (EST)]Not sure what the old consoles look like but the '95 one isnt all too bad. Fits cans nicely and if its something tall you take the insert out so its not so tippy. Wont fit the big gulps but works for most things. Nothings perfect i guess.

I had the same delimma and found some cupholders at Advance Auto that sell for about five bucks each. They have an adjustable fitting on the bottom that will allow you to fit it in the hole of your console. It wont fit in all the way because of the consoles lip but it will fit far enough in that you won't have any problems. The top is also adjustable so you can fit any size drink you want. I usually have the bottled sodas and the holders work very well. They also have a lock so that once you adjust to the size you want, they will stay snug. I've only found them in black plastic. I bought two and they fit nicely side by side in the pre-existing cupholders.

I like the stock console because when it spills your beer cup holders hold all the liquid.
