Does anyone else in here have a '99 SD with the 60/40/60 seat setup up front? If so, this means that your center console has no cupholders like the newer trucks. As we all know, the cupholders in the dash are absolute trash. I'd have less spills on my carpet if I was holding my drinks with my feet.
Anyway, how much $ do you guys think it would be to get a new backrest/center console from an '02 or newer? Is it even possible to buy just that part?, or do I have to pony up the cash and buy a whole new seat?
I have 2005 with the pull out dash mug holder works great holds large mug on the left 34oz. The right side is for smaller things but they don't fall out or make noise on washboard roads. I just was on H58 by the Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore and 25 miles of rough road and no spills.Mugs in the center console vibrate and make noise with on arm holding them tight like the dash mount.

yes those cupholders work awesome.. i have had both.. and those newer ones are great.. i dont care for the ones in the center console.. they dont like to hold cans or other small cups to well...
I have a 99 and I replaced the in-dash cup holder with a 2000-up cup holder. It works much better than the piece of crap 99 cup holder. I think I paid less than $75 from a dealer for the item.
